Sample submission guide

How to Send Samples to the Laboratory

Prepare, identify and pack your samples carefully, then choose the submission method that works best for your organisation. Chem-Tech can arrange a pickup after confirmation, or you can submit and track the consignment through the customer portal.

Choose your route

Two straightforward ways to send your samples.

Before packing, confirm the selected testing requirement and whether Chem-Tech-supplied bottles or any special submission instructions are required. Correct identification and secure packaging help the laboratory receive the sample in a condition suitable for the agreed work.

Packing procedure

Prepare every bottle for safe identification and transit.

These steps reproduce the supplied Chem-Tech sample-packing procedure. If the selected analysis requires different packaging, contact customer support before collecting or dispatching the sample.

  1. 01

Examine the Chem-Tech supplied sampling bottle and confirm that it is clean, air-tight and not physically damaged.

  2. 02

Follow the applicable sampling instructions and use the supplied sampling equipment correctly.

  3. 03

Do not fill the bottle completely. Leave space at the top and fill only up to approximately 90% of its capacity.

  4. 04

Fit the inner cap immediately after collection. Tighten the outer cap, seal the bottle and wipe the outside clean.

  5. 05

Write the sample-identification details clearly and apply the label to a clean, dry bottle. A sample label is mandatory.

  6. 06

Seal the outer cap with suitable tape so that it cannot loosen during handling.

  7. 07

Place each sealed bottle inside a self-sealing courier bag.

  8. 08

Arrange the protected bottles in a sturdy carton with suitable packing material to reduce the risk of transit damage.

  9. 09

Mark the package with the current Chem-Tech receiving address confirmed by customer support.

  10. 10

Hand over the packed consignment to the confirmed pickup agent or your selected courier service.

Before sealing the carton

Include the information needed to identify your samples.

Clear identification helps connect the physical sample with the customer request, portal submission and agreed scope of work.

  • Unique sample name or identification
  • Product, oil or material description
  • Equipment or sampling-point identification, where applicable
  • Collection date and testing requirement
  • Customer or company contact details
  • Portal submission or enquiry reference, where available
