Overview
Plan testing for your product
Processed foods need a plan that reflects the heat process, acidity, packaging and conditions after opening. A canned vegetable, fruit puree and ready-to-cook sauce may answer different testing questions.
The final parameter set, analytical method and sample requirement are confirmed against the product type, applicable specification and testing objective.

Questions to resolve
Build the right testing scope
Product and process
Define the formulation, processing treatment and pack rather than choosing tests from the product name alone.
Composition and quality
Discuss relevant solids, acidity, moisture or declared constituents.
Microbiology and stability
Agree the microbiological or storage study required for the process and intended use.
Detailed coverage
Product groups and examples

Preserve the product information
Provide unopened packs, process context, manufacturing lot and storage instructions as agreed. Record any swelling, leakage or complaint observations without opening suspect packs unnecessarily.
Confirm sample quantity, number of units, containers and transport conditions with Chem-Tech before dispatch. Turnaround is confirmed in the quotation after the scope is agreed.
Use the correct comparison
A finished-pack result does not validate the entire thermal process. Process validation and a product-testing result answer different questions.
Accredited coverage is confirmed for the material, parameter, method and laboratory location. Product standards and current amendments determine the relevant requirement; no single panel proves complete food safety.
