Overview
Plan testing for your product
Fresh fruit, frozen fruit, juice and puree differ in processing, edible portion and intended use. Select the measurements for the commodity, lot and question rather than treating all fruit products as one matrix.
The final parameter set, analytical method and sample requirement are confirmed against the product type, applicable specification and testing objective.

Questions to resolve
Build the right testing scope
Composition and quality
Discuss soluble solids, acidity or product-specific quality attributes.
Residue requirements
Identify relevant residues and the destination-market requirement for the commodity.
Processing and microbiology
Consider washing, cutting, heat treatment and whether the food is ready to eat.

Sample planning and interpretation
Preserve the product information
Identify the fruit, fresh or processed state and sampling basis. Agree whether the edible portion, whole commodity or finished product is required.
Confirm sample quantity, number of units, containers and transport conditions with Chem-Tech before dispatch. Turnaround is confirmed in the quotation after the scope is agreed.
Use the correct comparison
A whole-fruit residue result and a finished-juice composition result address different questions. Keep the commodity and reporting basis explicit.
Accredited coverage is confirmed for the material, parameter, method and laboratory location. Product standards and current amendments determine the relevant requirement; no single panel proves complete food safety.
